Collaborative Planning: Wishlist creators can invite friends or family to join via a secure share link. Once logged into a Ride account, collaborators can actively help add or remove options and refine trip details together.
Sharing and Visibility
Private Collaboration: Ideal for group trip planning, allowing invited members with a Ride account to actively edit and refine the list.
Public Read-Only Links: Creators—such as trip organizers or travel content creators—can generate a public URL. This allows anyone to view the wishlist without needing a Ride account.
How to create a Ride Wishlist and add listings to it
Whether you’re dreaming of a weekend getaway or a cross-country road trip, Wishlists help you keep your favorite finds in one place. Save the perfect vehicles and must-see destinations, so you’re ready to hit the road when the time is right.
How to Create a Wishlist and Save Listings
You will typically create a Wishlist while browsing vehicle rentals on the Ride platform:
On the Web:
Sign in to your Ride account at ride.auto
Browse vehicle listings on the search results page or open a specific listing detail page.
Click the heart / save icon on any listing card or detail page.

The Create Wishlist drawer will open:
If you don’t have any Wishlists yet: Enter a name in the input box (up to 50 characters) and click Save. Ride will create the Wishlist and automatically add the vehicle to it.
If you already have Wishlists: Select an existing Wishlist from the list, or click Create a new wishlist, enter a name, and click Save.
The drawer closes, and the heart stays filled, indicating the vehicle is saved.
On the Mobile App:
Open the Ride app and sign in.
Browse vehicles using Search or tap to open a specific listing.
Tap the heart / save icon on the listing card or listing page. (If you are not logged in, you will be prompted to sign in or create an account first).

After tapping the heart icon:
If you don't have any Wishlists yet: Enter a name in the Name field (up to 50 characters) and tap Create.
If you already have Wishlists: Tap an existing Wishlist to save the vehicle, or tap Create new wishlist to make a new folder.
Pro Tip: For faster browsing, Ride automatically saves new listings to your most recently used Wishlist. If you want to move it elsewhere, click the Change link that appears briefly in the confirmation message right after saving.
How to Remove or Move a Saved Listing:
You can easily reorganize your saved vehicles or remove them from a Wishlist at any time:
On the Web:
Open your Wishlists and select the list containing the vehicle you want to adjust.

Click the filled heart icon on the vehicle listing to open the Save to Wishlist drawer:
To Move a Listing: Click a different Wishlist from the drawer to transfer the vehicle there.
To Remove a Listing: Click the name of the Wishlist where the vehicle is currently saved (indicated by a checkmark) to deselect and remove it.
On the Mobile App:
Open your Wishlists or locate the vehicle listing.
Tap the filled heart icon on the listing to immediately remove it from your Wishlist.
What other actions can I do with my Ride Wishlist?

Invite Collaborators: Share a private Wishlist link with friends or family so everyone can add, remove, and review vehicle options together in real time.
Adjust Privacy Settings: Toggle your Wishlists between Private (for logged-in group planning) and Public (view-only sharing for anyone with the link).
Customize Trip Details: Rename your Wishlists, update travel dates, and set Guest counts to refine your search results.
Visualize on an Interactive Map: View all your saved vehicles on a map to compare pick-up locations relative to your trip destination.
How do I invite Wishlist Collaborators?
Planning a trip with friends or family? Invite travel companions to your Wishlist so everyone can review, add, and organize vehicle options together in real time.
Open your Wishlist: Navigate to the Wishlists tab and select the list you want to share.

Access the Share options: Click or tap the Share button located under the Wishlist title.
On the Web: Locate and click the "Copy share link" button in the Share Wishlist window.
On the Mobile App: Tap Share to generate and copy a shareable link.
Send the Invite: Send the unique link via text, email, or messaging app.
Note: For security, Wishlist invite links automatically expire after 24 hours. If you need to invite someone later, simply follow the steps above to generate a fresh link.
I added collaborators to the Wishlist. What can they do?
Planning a group trip is better with real-time collaboration! When you invite someone to your private wishlist, they become a Collaborator. This allows them to help you build the perfect itinerary in real-time.
Collaborators can:
Curate Listing Choices: Add or remove vehicle listings to help narrow down your top choices.
Fine-Tune Trip Details: Update search filters such as travel dates and Guest counts to see what fits everyone's schedule.
Rename the Wishlist: Update the Wishlist title to match your trip's vibe.
Manage Their Status: Leave the Wishlist at any time if their travel plans change
Collaborators cannot:
To keep your wishlist secure, certain "Admin" powers stay only with the Wishlist Creator (that's you!):
Invite Others: Only the Creator can generate and send invite links to new members.
Delete the Wishlist: Your trip planning is safe—only the Creator can permanently delete the Wishlist.
What is the difference between Public and Private Wishlists?
You have full control over who can view your travel plans. Choose the privacy setting that best fits your trip:
Private Wishlists (For Collaboration):
Best for: Group trips, multi-driver getaways, and collaborative planning.
Ride Account Required: Only the Wishlist Creator and invited collaborators can view or edit the contents. Collaborators must log into or create a free Ride account to join.
Full Collaboration: Invited members can add/remove listings and suggest travel dates.
Public Wishlists (View-Only):
Best for: Sharing curated vehicle recommendations, itineraries, or travel guides.
Open Access: Anyone with the link can view your Wishlist without needing a Ride account.
Read-Only: Viewers cannot add or remove items from your list.
How Do I Change a Wishlist's Privacy Settings?
You can switch your Wishlist privacy settings at any time with just a few taps:
Open the Ride app and navigate to Wishlists.
Select the Wishlist you created that you want to edit.
On the Wishlist details screen, open the Action menu (represented by the "..." icon).

Select your preferred setting:
"Make public" – Allows anyone with the link to view the list without logging in.
"Make private" – Restricts viewing and editing strictly to invited Ride members.
Note: Privacy settings can currently only be updated within the Ride mobile app.
